I LOVE getting recipe recommendations. It’s hard to wade through the incredible variety and uncountable recipes online. The recipes I get recommended by word-of-mouth from a friend I trust always turn out to be favorites.
SO…I asked my private Facebook Group, Purposeful Organization, what their favorite chicken dinner recipes are! The results below are what my sweet friends recommended. I am also sharing whether they have gluten or dairy (those are important questions around my house at least!)
Chicken Entrée Recipe Roundup
Chicken Tikka Masala
This Chicken Tikka Masala recipe is recommended from my friend Vanessa, who has written quite a bit on this blog, including her wonderful Panang Curry recipe. I can personally vouch that this recipe is delicious. Gluten-free, but not dairy-free.
Qdoba Copycat Chicken
My friend Amber recommends this Qdoba Copycat Chicken recipe from gimmedelicious.com. This recipe is gluten-free and dairy-free. Amber’s words about this recipe were:
I tried it recently and also made some spanish rice out of brown rice. I packed a bunch of single serve “burrito bowls” with the rice, chicken, black beans, and sauteed peppers and onions. Everything was so flavorful I didn’t need to add cheese or any kind of topping. Its also gotten me on a kick of using my cast iron skillet to start things on the stove then transfer them to the oven.
Skinny Orange Chicken
Elisabeth recommends this delectable-looking Skinny Orange Chicken! With orange juice, orange zest, and honey in the sauce ingredients, this sounds like a sure kid-pleaser. Gluten-free, dairy free recipe if prepared with GF Tamari sauce or Liquid Aminos instead of soy sauce.
Bacon Wrapped Chicken Strips
These beauties are a favorite of Johanna’s family. Bacon Wrapped Chicken Strips from Paleo Cupboard, gluten-free, dairy free. These can be dipped in sauce or eaten as-is!
One-Pan Baked Gluten-Free Sweet-and-Sour Chicken
My long-time friend Lynette has recommended two recipes, as it’s a toss-up for her to choose her favorite. This One-pan baked gluten-free sweet-and-sour chicken recipe from Bless Her Heart Y’all is the first of the two. Gluten-free, dairy-free.
Goat Cheese and Apple Chicken
This is Lynette’s second recommendation. Goat Cheese and Apple Chicken from Prevention RD. This is neither gluten- nor dairy-free, but goat cheese is often tolerated by dairy-intolerant people, and I am one of those people!
Creamy Parmesan Garlic Mushroom Chicken
My friend Esther recommends this Creamy Parmesan Garlic Mushroom Chicken recipe from The Recipe Critic. She swaps gluten-free flour for the regular flour, making this a gluten-free but not dairy-free recipe.
I cannot wait to add these to our menu plan in the next few weeks. Post your favorite recipe in the comments!
